Sherry Colbourne

Sherry Colbourne is a member of FICI’s Advisory Board and a technology executive, innovation strategist and ecosystem builder with more than 30 years of experience helping innovators turn ideas into impact. She is the former President of Spark Centre.

Throughout her career, Sherry has worked with startups, researchers, investors, governments and industry leaders to advance innovation, commercialize technology and strengthen innovation ecosystems across Canada. Her expertise spans technology commercialization, artificial intelligence, governance, financial oversight, risk management, strategic planning and organizational growth. She is recognized for translating emerging technologies into practical, responsible strategies.

A lifelong learner, she is especially interested in what becomes possible when organizations create pathways for diverse thinkers to contribute their talents. At FICI, she supports the organization’s strategic growth and its mission to empower Canadian inventors.
