Innovation can solve more than market problems. FICI uses invention and entrepreneurship to address social, economic and community challenges, and leads this work internationally: in 2026, FICI’s President was appointed Director of IFIA’s Department of Social Innovation & Community Development.

IFIA’s Department of Social Innovation & Community Development
Approved by IFIA’s 52nd Executive Committee meeting and presented by FICI, the department creates a global platform for social innovation, bringing together inventors, entrepreneurs, governments, universities, innovation organizations and community partners.
